My last paper ended on 29May, yesterday. Now, I'm a free bird.
I almost finished watching episode 1 of Terra Nova. It was then before I fell asleep. Had a good rest till morning. It's a good body clock switch. I'm going to set up a list on things I'd like to do.
Go out. Shop, play, swim, watch movies, but on a budget.
Eat 好料。
Get a hair cut.
Find a temporary full-time job till December.
And if I can, I'll go on a short trip with some friends if possible.
Train up.
Gain a Kg.
Get a tan.
Bring Mer to the beach since I've already promised her. And, since she haven't swim in the sea before. She probably won't understand, but guess she could feel something exciting is about to happen. Maybe with Shiro too.
Relax.
This is only the starting list.
Today, I went down to have breakfast. I had Ba Chor Mee with the chinese pear juice. I've developed this liking for the Chinese pear juice during my exam period. I like the Chinese pear already. But as a beverage to go with the mains. It's just, whoo... Here's an article on it's health benefits: www.livestrong.com/article/411482-asian-pear-benefits/
Just read the news today that Hazard is joining Chelsea. Hulk is already on talking terms with the club about the contract. It's going to be exciting. I've been catching up on the transfer news and I'm happy and surprised that Hazard is joining the blues. Kalou and Bosingwa will be leaving, along with D.Drogba. And if I can choose, I'd wish Drogs to go to Real instead of the S.Shenhua. At least, he'll have a chance to continue his legacy with the former team, given the quality of the team.
This blog will primarily be used to log my travel experiences. My first destination will be Helsinki, next Oslo, Svalbard, Stockholm, Bergen and London. Now, I'm back in Singapore.

Revision for the last paper... and...
It's Saturday morning here. I've just finished practice writing for my essay on chapter 2 stuff. Diamond and Dybvig model (1983), and how the liquidity and maturity transformation function of banks can actually cause fragility in banks.
I'm going to focus on:
Chapter 1. The theories of financial intermediation
Chapter 2: Bank regulations (theory and practice)
Chapter 4: Credit risk
Chapter 5: Balance sheet management, liquidity and interest rate risk.
I'm going to start on chapter 5 like really soon.
I have one full day today, tomorrow, and Monday to do the final revisions for the final paper.
I do not know whether 24th May is in the category of 'end of the month'. Doesn't matter, cause the thing is that I've got my answer. You know it's serious when the spine check involves getting X-ray-ed at almost 10 different angles collectively on the cervical, thoracic, lumbar and sacral sections. The very good news I'm going to share is that, I've passed the spine check. I'm glad. But I'll just take one step at a time. So now, final paper first, then finding a temporary part time job, then contract signing, then, I'll most probably be enlisting in December.
Oh ya, Army Open House is open to public today and tomorrow. Oh man. I want to go... But I know I will probably get too excited. I still remember riding in the light strike vehicle during my first visit to Safti. Also taking part in the live firing, and the IPPT station challenges. Oh man, I want to go.
Good day people.

Awake.
It's 6am now. I'm so awake. Bro is playing Grand theft auto beside me. I'm just surfing, checking some updates and basically just it. I walked to the Prime market just now to have minced meat noodle. And, now, I'm very happy with a full stomach. I bought a packet of snacks, seaweed snack, and went straight home. It's quite serene. And I sorta like it.
The last paper is drawing near. I'd have done so much better if I had the extra time for the ESAP paper. 1 page of quality work is worth 10marks. And in 3 hours, we have a minimum requirement of 10 pages. 4x10mark question, and 2x30mark question. So it breaks down to 18minutes per page. It was really intense. I wrote non-stop and couldn't really finish. There's no time to really think as well. Guess what, time management is one of the testing criteria! And, the ME paper is totally wasted. I've send in a document to LSE. I can just hope and pray that my plea is realized. No use crying over this spilt milk.
One last paper. Financial Intermediation. Ok, I'll study in a short while.
I bathe the three puppies today. Now they smell good and look even more fluffier. The last time I smell check. There's still the shampoo smell. There's no taking away the puppy smell from them. It's like 'Don't take my puppy smell away from me!' XD
Those sweet rascals. I'm so afraid to love them.
I want to workout. I want to get to the outdoors for some action. I want!
I'm going to find a part-time or full time job after exams. I hope it's immediate as I want to work already. Not thinking about any graduation trip at the moment. I had my time in Europe already last year and I'm contented. Till now, having work several part time jobs, I haven't really collected a month of full-time pay cheque. I'll like to see what's the thrill of receiving one of those 'oh, so much dollars' cheques.
It's a city life. We're so masculine as a culture. So, keep your engines oiled. No stopping... It'll be like. Work very hard first. Yea, then play very hard later.

Champion Leagues Final 2012.
It's a Saturday night. Initially, we settled on Harry's at Suntec City mall, but it turns out to be that, not every Harry's is opened till so late. We agreed on the Convention center bus stop, and we went off to the Harry's at the esplanade.
It's quite a little stroll from the carpark to the Harry's. At around 12.40am, it was crowded. Although there were no more spaces to sit down, but I think there were still quite some space. For standing. We decided to go to ArchiPelago next door to chill. I had a Belgium Wit. Both my friends has Summer Ale. Although the former one is rated only 'one intensity', I felt the effect after 2/3 of a pint. Although still very sober. I do not know how Summer Ale taste, but I think, it has a slightly sweet or sour taste. We had some good buffalo wings too. We went over to Harry's at about 2.20am. It was cool. The screen was a little lower, almost at eye level and it made viewing easy. There were no more seats left, but we managed to find spots to view the game quite clearly.
Then there was kick off. Chelsea kicked off first. Lamp's the captain as Terry sits out. Saw it when Bayern scored the first one. It was 80plus minutes when Mueller headed one down to the field and it bounces up into the net. A corner was won shortly after. Mata crossed it, and D.Drogba heads it ever so confidently, then, Chelsea's back in the game.
For the defenders, I think there must be a special mention for Cahill and Luiz, which replaced the suspended Terry and Ivanovic. I think Cahill did pretty well for a player who isn't quite a regular. He really impressed me with his strong presence in the team. Luiz, with his golden maggi mee hair did block some with his heads too. He's funny. For Mikel, Lamps, Kalou, Mata, Bertrand (debutant!), Malouda. Good job with all the space creating. Torres played well and he provided a set of well needed attack and fresh legs. And Drogba? He's such a physical presence. He just knows he wants it. His touch, presence and occasional blasters. He's AmAzInG.
It's Peter Cech's stage in the penalty shootout. Mata missed the first one. But P.Cech saved two.
Please don't sell D.Drogba. Grant him his wish of an extension of two years.
The Road to Munich is a long one. I'm so happy because they played with so much heart and ambition. Bayern had so, so many chances. They have so many talented players. For now, maybe they should be rested, for Euro 2012. I have high hopes in their national team.
Never knew this is going to happen. It was crazy, I went crazy. Nevertheless, am grateful to my friends for coming out at such a short notice and also for the fun company.
Cech, Bosingwa, Cahill, Luiz, A.Cole, Mikel, Lamps, Kalou (Torres), Mata, Bertrand (Malouda), Drogba. And, Di Matteo. And the suspended Ramires, Meireles, Terry and Ivanovic.

My Xperia S!
Got my Xperia S on 13th May 2012. And I'm loving it, loving it, loving it. It's perfect for me and more than what I could ask for. It's 168SGD with a 2 year SmartSurf plan. On top of that, I had to pay a fee for the microSim card. I like the idea that many important apps are already pre-installed. And the interface is really just awesome. Oh, just so pretty.
I also downloaded dolphin browser HD and Opera mini. Tried both browsers and they provided a fun alternative. There is also something called Dolphin Sonar and the app will help you find something you need on voice command. For photography apps, I downloaded apps like Lightbox and PicsArt. And, enjoying
them whenever have some spare time for some entertainment. Lightbox is something like the Instagram for Android. And PicsArt provided many other options other than filter and borders. They have a larger selection of those and it has sticker, textbox options too. It's fun.
The design to me is as important as it's functionality. I love the design for Xperia S. It's black, sleek and weighs 144grams. I couldn't bear to tear off the screen protector (with instructions) and I still have it now after 1 week owning it. Know it sounds silly. But this can constantly remind me to be careful, it's new! I like the 12 megapixels camera and HD video function. Haven't tested it to the max yet. But I'll do it when I have the extra time.
I'm going to upgrade my plan to a surfing plan when I have the opportunity and the time.
I like my photos original. And the only thing I do to the pictures I take with my Canon baby is to crop them. Unless absolutely necessary. No touch up and whatsoever. I'm a purist when it comes to originality. I believe things at it's most natural are the most beautiful. Thus, I do not like to do photo shop. You can always have an option to take a photo until you're happy and satisfied.
But not to confuse this with Photography apps. Photography apps add an interesting twist to photography itself. It's a totally different field itself and I personally like it too. But just a little, not dramatic. Some filters are just really interesting that you would like to apply it to your pictures to create a setting or an atmosphere. It's like having a Neoprint machine function in your handphone. I like to add borders, some text and stickers. It's cute. I have several works now and I'm so proud them.
I'm glad Canon Baby is still healthy now. It has been with me at so many places, occasions and time has rendered it beautifully rugged. Now, I have a new addition, Baby Xperia S. Loving it, and I think it'll last for a long long time...

Of Phones.
My best phone so far is the Sony Ericsson K800i. It's integrated camera is Cybershot, which is a line of cameras Sony has. I still miss that phone. I got my first phone when I was primary six, which was none other than the Nokia 3310. Yea, you could drop it many times, and it'll still function (and gosh, it has since became a meme highlight). Basic and classic. Loved that too.
I have been using a basic phone for quite awhile since X10 mini shut off for unknown reasons. It really isn't good. For a smartphone, the screen is too small for comfortable reading.
Recently, I thought of getting a Blackberry curve 9360. I tried on the dummy phones and wondered if I could get use to the Qwerty keypad because the buttons are small. It really feels nice to type on. I read some reviews and it seems quite a sturdy basic smartphone. I thought i didn't need an iPhone because I already have an iPod touch 4. And I'll have to pay so much more for an iPhone for the calling and internet functions. I'll just have to need a hotspot function i think?
Today we came across Nex and saw this Sony Xperia S promotion. we have one line with the Hub Club which is ready for re-contract. And that line belongs to the PowerValue 300. And if we upgraded the line to SmartSurf 300 (additional $10 per month for the internet), the phone is at $168. I like the phone. Especially it's camera and 1080p HD video recording features. I surfed the Android market, and they have pretty competitive apps. I downloaded some photography apps on one of my family's HTC and tried them out. Not bad. And the Lightbox app, equivalent to Instagram, is quite good as well.
Xperia S looks promising. I like the phone!
Maybe, I'll upgrade from PowerValue 100 to SmartSurf 100.
I like to be connected, but not overly connected.
I'll stay connected.
Wishing for a new phone!

Engine started.
Just had a nice warm bath after training. To get our engines started, we ran 6 rounds around the track which equates to 2.4Km. Before that, I did two rounds on my own already. So total distance covered is 3.2Km. It was nice, not to taxing as we ran at a very comfortable pace.
We spent quite sometime on stretching which is good. Ahhh, a good stretch. Then did some basic kicks.
Great training with good pace. =D
Today, I had my first solo on the silver Honda. =D I'm quite happy that I'm trusted enough to go on a solo trip. Our family has two cars from the same family. One black and one silver. I drove the silver one! It's an automatic car. And sure, after a few rides, it's really easy to drive. No more manual gear shifting on monster truck. :(
Bought my comfort food (Fish soup) at the Coffee shop beside City harvest before heading home. The bowl of fish slices with those ingredients plus the bean paste chilli is super tasty. Ahhh... $4 bucks.
Great evening and good food.
Am relaxed and happy.
晚安!

Waiting.
Today, I went out to SK to have lunch as well as to swim. Turns out that, the swimming complex was closed on Monday. Made a U-turn back home with a full stomach.
Revised half of my essay on attitudes. It should be going well. Then, a short study break ends up as a wrap up for today. I checked if my sister was 'A Okay' over at San Francisco, and then, I begin to frantically search for some information which may be irrelevant. Can't describe how anxious I'm feeling. But what I know of is, the results are out and waiting to be despatched. I was pondering whether I should write this. And in the end decided I will. As, this is part of the journey.
I should wait till noon.
I'm such a type A.

It's 4.15am.
I've done what I needed to do. Now, I can only pray everything will be on the right track. If I pass the spine check. Will be on my way to BMT. Which I seriously hope will be earlier. The earlier, the better. After which, I will have to qualify for OCS using my own merits. And before OCS, I'll have to attend a two weeks Air Grading Course. I'll call in again tomorrow to ask if they've received my forms, enquire about the enlistment dates, as well as the results of the spine check. I'll keep a balanced mind before anything is confirmed. But I'm really, really excited.
Nothing's really new here. Just waiting for exams to start.
I'll head off for a swim tomorrow.
Target of 20 laps.
But I'm so glad training will resume on this coming Tuesday. Will have to release some extra energy.
Night folks.

It's so long.
I hope the X-Ray is alright. Were told 'This will be an once in a lifetime experience'. Indeed. 10-12 angle profiles of the spine were taken. And, the images are almost immediate as I could catch a few glimpse on the screen. Today, I called them up again. Yea. And apparently, there are only two female BMT batches per year. And the earliest? DECEMBER. I was really bugged by this. Initially was told September, and now December.
After which, took a bus to Eunos and to Changi airport to send my sister off. Took a rest afterwards. Having some headache today.
I seriously hope that the spine check is okay!
Think I'm a little crazy for being so enthu.
*Pinch myself* I'm so sober. Can I not be this period?

:)
Feeling sluggish, and it's one of the signs of falling sick. Had several doses of the Paracetemol effervescent tablets with warm water already. Currently, I'm waiting for the next dose to cool.
I'll be going for the spine check at the AeroMedical centre tomorrow and after which, I'll proceed to Changi Airport to send my sis off (if I can make it). She's flying to San Francisco and the California area to fulfil her academic requirements. Quite exciting really. Imagine the wonderful people she's going to meet and international friends she's going to make. Excited for her as well as for the spine check. Love checks.
Had quite a feast for dinner yesterday and this afternoon. But, am beginning to lose appetite. I hope it'll be supressed and not go full blown as first paper will start in 11days time.
Posted a document enclosing my personal particulars form and surety form in the mailbox today. I'm Dang excited. Can't wait to start training immediately if everything goes well. Call me crazy, but yea... Been waiting...
